Durban Spice, a successful home supper club restaurant in Oxfordshire, Shabir Ally will join Atul Kochhar in the kitchen at Sindhu on Sunday 21st July, for one night only.
A Durban native, born in South Africa, Shabir has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry, having launched Durban Spice with his wife Sarah. From their home in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, the pair serve surprise set menus which delve into Durban cooking, all centred around the tastes of authentic South African cuisine.
Encompasses a heady mix of cultural influences, including Indian, Dutch, Malay and surrounding African nations, guests will be taken on a journey throughout the flavours, aromas and textures of Durban cuisine during this exclusive dining experience at Sindhu.
The menu is yet to be announced, but guests expect to sample the absolute best of modern Durban cooking with a strong nod towards its Indian influences, using the best possible produce and modern cooking techniques to create a truly unforgettable dining experience.
